Majer’s Diving & Salvage, Inc. in Hilton Head, South Carolina was first established in Savannah, GA in 1986 by Mike Majer, a Special Forces Combat Diving Supervisor, and Airborne Ranger. In 1988, the business was moved to Hilton Head Island, SC. Initially, the focus was on boat bottom cleaning and zinc replacement. While working closely with the boating community on Hilton Head and surrounding areas, it was determined that more services were needed. The company expanded its capabilities to include many different areas. These included propeller pulling and replacement, shaft, and cutless bearing pulling and replacement, thru-hull replacement and installation, search and recovery, marine salvage and commercial diving services.
Majer’s Diving has built their reputation over the last 30+ years in the Lowcountry as one of the only commercial diving companies that succeed where others fail. Extensive time and money were invested in specialized training and equipment to include underwater hydraulic tools, hydraulic prop pullers, diving helmets with communications, lift bags, pumps and high-pressure water blasters to clean marine growth. Also, specialty products such as underwater epoxies and mortars and expandable polyurethane grout were tested and evaluated, and the best products put into use. Early on we developed a reputation for being underwater problem solvers who would not leave the job until the project was complete. We continue with that attitude and take pride in being the company that completes the job after other companies have tried and failed.
Our team consists of 5 full-time divers with over 100 years of combined diving experience. Majer’s Diving & Salvage, Inc. is veteran owned, and all team members are American born citizens.
